Roots to Fruits Teacher Training

In March 2021, 10 teachers from 5 of partner villages attended the Roots to Fruits Christian curriculum nursery school teacher training.

Following on ACFD farm; the registration of pupils for nursery section has started 30 children and according to government calendar the school open for the first term will be in July 2021
During our planning meeting with the teacher they have come out with the following things
1. Number of children will be 30
2. School fee will be Uganda shilling 50,000 per term per child
3. Teacher salary will be UGX 120,000 per months and salary will come from the school fee

4 village nursery schools have begun in 2022.

Further teacher and phonics training is planned for 2023.

Thank you to the teachers from Oregon who graciously fundraised for this program and delivered the books in March of 2020 just as the pandemic hit! Thank you to the many who have contributed so much effort to early child education for the very first time in these impoverished villages! May these schools transform and grow.
